Mt Juliet schools are operated by the Wilson County School District.  Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement course work and exams.  The AP participation rate at Mt Juliet High School is 34 percent.

Ten of Wilson County Schools received all "A's" in achievement in grades 3-8 for math, reading/language arts and science on the 2014-15 Tennessee Department of Education Report Card.  In addition, Wilson County Schools achieved a composite Level 5 in growth, the highest attainable level, in all subject areas.  Wilson County School District is meeting and exceeding the State's benchmarks:

  • The district's graduation rate is 95.1 percent, not only is that one of the highest graduates in Tennessee, but it exceeds the state average by nearly 7 percentage points;
  • The district has a 20.6 composite score on the ACT, up from last year's 20.1.  Mt Juliet High School has 22.3 composite score on the ACT;
  • The percentage of students eligible for the Tennessee HOPE Scholarship is 43.3 percent, up from 41.7 percent the previous year;
  • Wilson County Schools had five Reward Schools recognized by the Tennessee Department of Education based on student performance:
  • Three of the above schools mentioned were also recognized as a Reward School for both achievement and growth.  Only nine schools statewide received this distinction, and three of them were in Wilson County:
