City of Mt. Juliet 2008 Special Census
Unlike most cities in Tennessee, Mt. Juliet currently has no
property tax. We'd like to keep it that way, and you can help by
participating in our 2008 Special Census. Each year, the State returns a
portion of the state sales tax you pay back to the cities and counties in the
form of State Shared Revenue. State Shared Revenue is your tax
dollars being returned to your city and thus to you as city
residents. The amount each city receives annually is based on population,
which is why we are conducting this census. We greatly appreciate your attention and cooperation in this 2008 Special Census.
You may either complete and submit the following form or fill
out and mail the pre-stamped 2008 Special Census postcard you receive in the
mail. Please send in your household occupant
information as soon as possible.
***The City of Mt. Juliet will not compile, store or
release any of the information collected during the 2008 Special Census, with
the exception of providing the necessary information to the State Comptroller's
Office for verification purposes.***
