| Chief Winston R. Floyd is a 23-year veteran of the Mt. Juliet Police Department and a much-loved member of the community. He began his career at the department in 1984 as a Sergeant, following 23 years of service in the U.S. Air Force. Floyd rose through the ranks to Captain and was promoted to Assistant Chief in 2002. He was appointed Interim Chief of Police in September 2005 when Kenneth Martin stepped down as Chief to became the City's Economic and Community Development Director/City Liason. Floyd was chosen as Chief of Police on December 22, 2005 after a selection process that involved 52 applicants from across the country. | ||
