| The Mt. Juliet Police Dispatch Division currently consists of six full-time and three relief dispatchers. These dedicated men and women are trained to serve the public and to handle very busy telephone lines and very stressful, life-threatening situations. MJPD Dispatchers are required to be certified by Tennessee state law. They complete the 40-hour Tennessee Information Enforcement System (TIES) Basic Certification training course offered by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. TIES is the network that allows access to state and federal communication systems, including the TBI's Tennessee Criminal History Repository, Tennessee Department of Safety databases, the Tennessee Crime Information Center (TCIC), the FBI's National Crime Information Center (NCIC), and the National Law Enforcement Telecommunication System (NLETS).
